QotL 2018 Announcement!

We start with nothing. No Information, nothing to go on. The circle is wide open, could go anywhere. Where do we drop? DC? Atlanta? Somewhere in the middle maybe? Gatlinburg? No, we did that last time. Something different but familiar. Someone call it.. Poconos? I could do Poconos. It’s northeast on the map but not too far in case the circle goes bad. Almost time to jump. 3.. 2.. 1.. DROP!

Date is August 5th 2018, perfect timing. This could go well! Feeling the rush of wind on my face as we speed to the drop point. Now it begins.. Just need to secure a house and set up shop. This one will do.. 7 bedrooms, large basement, hot tub, big screen projector setup. Fast internet. Air conditioning. Great loot! Going very well so far but the circle is shrinking.

Other players making their way here! 12 is my count, could change. I hear shots coming from their computers, it’s officially a LAN Party! Each player in a battle to the death. Having a great time but there must be a winner. One by one each person is defeated by sleep. Until there is only one remaining..

THIS JUST IN!

DGS LAN Party: December 3rd starting at 12:00 noon, end time unknown..at this time we project gaming long into the night and early morning. Details are sketchy, but previous DGS LANs have included the following: Hot Dogs and/or burgers for early arrivals, full size ping pong table, and a new Home Theater area. Attendees could look forward to playing some guitar hero or Last Of Us on a 92” projection screen!

Popular games these days include Overwatch, Insurgency, CSGO, Chivalry was fun last time. Left for Dead 2 as always! DGS favorites also include Pirates Vikings & Knights 2, Team Fortress 2, Evolve, and Orion:Prelude. Maybe they’ll put some Artemis up on the big screen. Attendees would do well to update their steam games before they arrive and install some of these popular games.

The DGS has always advertised a DC hub will be available although it probably won’t be. We’ll see if the overworked host of the LAN can get his shit together enough to make one. Start hashing your files now just in case and head down to Seville OH on December 3rd at noon!

Next DGS LAN April 25th 2015!

Well we had so much fun last month, let’s do it again! The Dead Gamers Society is going to host a bonus round this month on April 25th, for those who missed it last time. We had a much better experience grilling the hot dogs last month, so show up early and don’t miss it! Bring a soda or snack donation and some pizza money ($5) and let’s finish what we started.

What will we play? We had fun with Chivalry: Medieval Warfare last month. There was some interest in Payday (1 or 2). Since that’s a 4 player game we could play that early while people are still arriving. I’ll try and get pills and throwables working in the L4D2 server. I expect the Dino Hunter and PVK will be played as well. If you want to play D3 or Wow that’s fine too, all are welcome down in Seville.

As always, the DC hub will be up, and you can enjoy TV and Movies on the home theater between games. Start hashing your files now, and we’ll see you on April 25th at noon!
